Berlin Open[deutsch] [english]Dear fellow lacrossers, The Berlin Open have been the largest, most traditional tournament in all over Europe for more than 13 years. It represents the most versatile framework for coaches, players, interested parties, equipment vendors and fans to become engaged with lacrosse business.It has always been a profound platform to strengthen worldwide lacrosse interconnections. The BLAX e.V. wants to keep it that way! It is our duty to keep the quality of this wonderful event on a high level. Due to this year's Soccer World Championships in Germany it is not possible to conduct the Berlin Open on such a large scale. Our staff has spent weeks in finding a suitable venue, fruitless. As most of you are aware of Berlin Open 2005 has already had the distinction of being of lower standard due to poor playing fields. With the requirement of at least 7 playing grounds it has turned out that only the famous "Maifeld" can offer such adequate facilities. This area will unfortunately be occupied with TV broadcast and press buildings until August this year. Hereupon the fields will be in no condition to play on. We hope that you understand our situation. As a consequence we will focus on a much better Berlin Open in 2007. We cannot confirm an exact date yet. Because of construction works till 2009 the 13th BERLIN OPEN 2007 will not take place on the "Maifeld".
